Droaam: Graywall and Long Shadows
Khyras, The Deep Doors
Called the Khyras in goblin, the Deep Doors are the network of tunnels beneath the city. Graywall is built atop the ruins of Korash Khaar, and the fortress of the Dhakaani goblins at one time stretched deep beneath the earth. Storytellers spin tales of aberrant legions locked in combat with goblin ghosts and of deep wyrms atop piles of Dhakaani gold. The truth might be more wondrous still, or infinitely more terrible .The fragments of history suggest that the final attack that broke the Dhakaani defenses came from beneath the citadel. No one living knows just what lies below the Dhakaani tunnels. Almost all the entrances to the depths have been sealed, save for a heavily guarded passage in Bloodstone . This one official Deep Door is the sole known access point, and will open only at Xor’chylic command. The mayor of Graywall has on few occasions allowed small expeditions to enter the depths, whether for reasons of his own or under the influence of the Daughters is unknown. What lies beyond the Deep Door though remains a mystery. There are possible unguarded pas¬sages into the deep tunnels, but one would need to take great risks to explore for them in defiance of Xor’chylic will.
